Décor. It is something we talk about a ton around here.  I am always searching for the latest trends that will help set your South Asian wedding apart.  The latest style to hit the street is to have another country play the part of your muse, and infuse it throughout your wedding reception décor.  Yesterday’s featured wedding intertwined a Moroccan Lounge, and today we have a reception that used French Regency as its inspiration.

These images are from a South Asian event at the beautiful Sherwood Country Club.  The ladies at Exquisite Events handled this “Rust and Roses” room design.  I just love what they came up with:

I can’t take my eyes off the lighting design. Lighting add an immense amount of depth and dimension to the room, which makes it an absolute must in my book. Notice how the shades of rust, amber, and red set an opulent ambiance that at the same time is very, very romantic. Just perfect for a fall wedding! Achieving this sort of look through the use of flowers alone is pricey and almost impossible.

If you are having a wedding of only a couple hundred, {what I like to refer to as, “Intimate Indian”} consider using long tables like these.  The room will be filled with many, many table details, so you can save on flowers.  The best part is that it makes your guests feel like they are dining with royalty!
