Color palettes are one topic we spend a ton of time on around here. I am constantly speaking with industry experts about what’s hot, and what’s over. The latest trend hitting the Indian wedding circuit is the all white (or white on white) reception. This reception décor is just about as elegant and chic as you can get, and definitely is for those brides who want to make a statement. When the white is paired with gold accents it creates dreamy, fairytale princess look that I just adore. See for yourself…
More from our bride : The theme for our Reception was classic glamerous American beauty. The decorators went all out creating elegant centerpieces – all with white flowers, candles hanging from the ceiling and gorgeous draping with white lights behind it. A stage for the bride and room was also all white, with an elegant loveseat, dramatic background draping, and pedestals of white flowers and candles. A sweetheart table across from it also was inspired by the same colors and florals. The cake was a 5-tier fondant creation comprised of white cake with a lemon chiffon filling and was in white and gold to match, with real gold leaf. We walked in to the instrumental music of "Bittersweet Symphony" and danced our first dance to a custom made mix of "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Sway" sung by Michael Buble. For the reception, I wore a lengha made up of different shades of blue and Swarovski crystals. I had on shoes inspired by Cinderella's glass slippers, and my hair was swept into a old-Hollywood style of a side bun, with classic jewelry including diamond chandelier earrings and a straight A-line diamond necklace. Nirav wore a classic black tux with gold accents.
The day after the main wedding event, we had a formal Vidaii ceremony where we had an Italian brunch for guests, and games were played. I wore a teal and gold lengha, and Nirav wore a gold kurta. Family and friends bid us goodbye after the ceremony as I was walked out to Nirav's car by my brothers. The venue for this was The Marriott West Palm Beach. All of guests were given vidaii gifts.
Other personal touches included welcome baskets for our guests as they checked into the hotel. The gold bags were ordered for India and had our names on them. The gift basket included wine bottles with a custom designed label depicting Radha-Krishna once again. Children also recieved their own bags which included an Indian wedding traditions coloring book, and various snacks and toys.
Congratulations to the handsome pair and special thank you to Jeff Kolodny Photography for sharing these amazing images with us!
Bravo to all the vendors that made this wedding a success!
