As we wind down another glamorous Indian wedding today, there is one moment that sticks out in my mind.  When I was speaking with Sonia Sharma, wedding planner extraordinaire, about the ideas & inspirations behind this beautiful day, she said the one thing that stood out about this couple was how happy and fun their wedding day was.  After the flowers, chairs, and décor were stripped down, the couple and their guests were still laughing and smiling from ear to ear.

Bijal and Vijay’s wedding took place in the luxury beach resort of Pelican Hill, a beautiful getaway overlooking Southern California’s Newport Coast. While the ceremony boasted vibrant florals, multicolored details and a breathtaking ocean backdrop, the reception took an especially elegant and intimate approach, brimming with gold accents, romantic lighting and lush red roses. The couple’s happiness and the overall ambience of the wedding led to a wonderful day of celebration and memories that will be cherished forever.
