If you are just joining us today, we are featuring a lovely Chicago Indian wedding and I am totally smitten with this couple.  From wedding invitation to bridal lengha, this chic Maharani and her man made sure that every detail seamlessly came together. I particularly love that our Indian bride chose purple for her ceremony lengha.  It isn't something we see very often, but paired with that fabulous choker style gold necklace and it makes my heart go pitter patter.  I am so happy that we have oodles of images by Thomas Marlow to devour....I mean, with pictures this sweet who needs a Christmas cookie?

 From our Maharani, Mansi :
Our objective when it came to down to the decor and style really boiled down to being as traditional as we can as far as the actual proceedings for the ceremony go while adding a modern twist to the decor. Our venue hunting was a stressful one as we did get started rather late, and Sunny and I did clash a little initially. He wanted an outside wedding (I didn't). He wanted it dead in the summer, I wanted it later in the summer so it was cooler. Unfortunately for him, since I am the BRIDE I got what I wanted. The inside venue and it being later in the summer. Finding a venue then was increasingly difficult as he wanted to get as much of an outside feel as possible. He didn't want to feel enclosed in a banquet hall "box." After 4 venue visits we found the Westin which was perfect! 3 of the 4 walls were completely glass, overlooking a pond with a fountain and plenty of greenery which is hard to come by here in Chicagoland.
More of this glorious day coming up!
