Anytime I see Dakine Films  in my inbox, I know I am in for a Christmas sized treat!  They bring a new level of class to wedding videos, and this Texas Indian wedding is right up at the top! Of course, they get all the magical shots like the mandap being draped and the bride's gorgeous eyes, but what really made my heart melt was the music that they choose for this number.  This was one of those Indian weddings where absolutely no tiny detail was left to chance.  The custom, matching water bottles at the ceremony, the charming Mr. & Mrs. signs at the reception, and the black & white wedding cake all have me "ooohhhhing" and "aaahhhing" along to the song. Maharanis, it will come as no surprise that I fell fast for the understated palette of black and white making this Indian wedding reception the ultimate black tie affair.  But, once I found out that the bride and groom got married in her parents backyard, the waterworks started in full force!

From our Maharani, Preya :
There was no particular style to our wedding. I am one of those girls that has always known what she wanted. My dream was to keep it somewhat old school in regards to the wedding in my home but to keep the reception modern. I've always wanted my Sangeet at my brother's house, my wedding in my parent's backyard and the reception dedicated to the people that we adore, our family and friends. The wedding in the backyard seem so far fetched, but it became even more important to us once Rohit proposed there. After that, it was a done deal.  Everything went amazing and honestly it is due to amazing vendors but even more so, a fiance that made sure every dream came true, girlfriends that did weekly sanity checks and completely selfless families - our parents and siblings went above and beyond.
More Film-y Friday fun coming right up!
