Ever since I was a little girl, I was never much of a fan of the bidaai part of Indian weddings. Weddings are such happy occasions - why is everyone crying?! But now, as I've gotten older, I've come to understand the meaning and the feeling that underlies this very special moment with a bride and her family. She is now leaving her pre-marital home, the home she grew up in, the home that holds dear everything the bride has ever known. It's a beautiful, sentimental moment and thankfully, Sameer Soorma has captured it so well for Maharani Pooja and for us!  After that moment though comes the exciting part - the reception! And from the looks of it, Pooja and her brand new hubby had a blast dancing the night away with their closest family and friends.
