My fiancé (now my wife!) is from London, UK. She didn't want a grand wedding but after showing her the Maharani Wedding site she changed her mind. She fell in love with the gorgeous photos on the blog.We got married on January 19, 2012. We spent almost three months researching our wedding vendors in Gujarat, India. Since I'm in the wedding industry, I have a good idea of the costs involved. Even though I had a set budget, I ended up spending more than planned on a few key items. For me, décor was the biggest part of our budget.
It was a challenge getting the services we wanted from the vendors in Gujarat, India. I had to take charge and micromanage everyone (even on the day of the wedding) to the get the results we wanted for our special day. Now that we have the photographs, video and our memories, I think it paid off to plan a wedding in Gujarat.
