To conclude this fusion Indian wedding, we head to a modern wedding reception with The MINNERICKS Photographers. The decor inside Old Red Museum is bright and whimsical, which perfectly matches the childlike glee these newlyweds have for each other. My favorite part (aside from the delicious looking buffet) are the wands guests get to wave as the Maharani and her Raja exit the premises -- so cute! To find out which part was most memorable for our bride (and how you can win $500 from Crate and Barrel!), scroll to the end of the post!
Maharani Elizabeth on dancing for her groom: "While watching a wedding show one day, I came to find out that it is often tradition for an Indian bride to do a dance for her new husband. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I quickly enlisted my sister in law to help me learn some Bollywood moves as well as traditional dance techniques. The look on Raj's face that day and everyday since is one I'll cherish forever!"
Maharanis, we hope you have a GREAT Thanksgiving tomorrow, as we take a break from beautiful Indian weddings to stuff our faces with turkey! We'll be back on Friday, but in the mean time: Have you entered this month's Maharani of the Month contest on Facebook? Anyone can enter, and the grand prize is $500 from Crate & Barrel! All you have to do is upload your photo and tell us why you love Maharani Weddings!
