Ok, I am seriously loving these first-look portraits by Joie Elie Photography & Cinematography! The smiles on these two sweethearts are as brilliant as true love's kiss and they've got me grinning right along. BridalByJyoti has created a flawless hair and makeup look (I'm still daydreaming about trying that shimmer shadow!) and I am counting the minutes until the Rose Events Wedding Planners & Coordinators-designed ceremony begins so our lovebirds can tie the knot. It's going to be a glittering gold and scarlet soiree with style for days! Until our happy couple is exchanging vows under the mandap at Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing, I'll be in the gallery!
From the bride, on her engagement: "We decided to take a trip with my best friend to go kayaking and check out this amazing ocean view in La Jolla. Apparently, he had conjured a plan with my best friend to propose that day. The day before, he rented a guitar and dropped it off at my friend's house. When my friend came to pick us up the morning of, she said her trunk was 'full' so we'd have to put our kayak clothes in the back seat, which I thought nothing of. After kayaking, we went to the ocean view, which is located in a La Jolla neighborhood on top of these cliffs. My friend suddenly had to take a phone call, so Utpal and I walked to the cliffs alone. He asked me if I wanted a surprise, told me to close my eyes, and next thing I knew I heard the strum of a guitar. When I opened my eyes, he was down on one knee, playing and singing 'Can't Help Falling In Love,' and my friend was back on her iPhone taking pictures and video. It was really beautiful and sweet, and of course I said, 'yes!'"
I love proposal stories! See you at the ceremony!
