From the bride, on her proposal story:
"Mark really out did himself with the proposal. It was so elaborate and here I was thinking he could not keep a secret! I thought he was going to be in NY for a friend's engagement party the weekend he proposed and I thought that was the time he was going to ask my parents' permission to marry me (little did I know he did that a month earlier). Mark had coordinated with a few of my friends and made it seem like a "birthday surprise" since my birthday was a week away. He flew my friend in from PA, along with my friends in Chicago, he arranged a "girls day out" filled with a chauffer in an Escalade, spa day and shopping spree for new dress and shoes. My friends had told me we were going out to a nice place for dinner, so we got all dolled up and my friend who is an avid photographer wanted to take group shots in Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. I remember texting him saying I loved the girls day but the thing that would make the day even better is to have him here by my side...little did I know. We were taking pictures in front of the Wrigley fountain and I see the love of my life appear from a staircase with some of his closest friends he flew in Chicago (our song was playing in the background). I started walking backwards actually away from him because I could not believe he was there. He gave me the biggest hug and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I could not stop crying and all I could say was "what did you do?" He stayed on one knee for some time before I could get the word "yes!!!!" out. We had a great group dinner followed by having more friends meet us out for an engagement party which Mark had planned at "EPIC" the club where we originally met. I could not have asked for a more elaborate and sweet proposal story."
This bride-to-be is all dressed in white for the first ceremony, next up!
