Welcome to a beautiful Wednesday, darlings! I hope you're ready for a trip to the East Coast cuz today we're catching a flight and meeting up with KSD Weddings to see this sensational Sikh wedding. Bride Benita is getting the full princess treatment on this glorious morning as she prepares to meet her Raja at the lush, floral-lined mandap styled by Elegant Affairs Inc. While the New York sun shines high in the sky our lovebirds count the minutes until their waterfront ceremony begins. Before our Maharani makes her way down the aisle, I'll be in the gallery!
From the bride:
"We met in April 2011 at the American India Foundation Young Professionals gala in New York City. I knew he was 'the one' on our second date—a 50-mile bike ride followed by homemade chocolate souffle—homemade by him!"
On her engagement:
"Nimesh proposed at The Cotton Club in Harlem on a Monday night. It's a favorite jazz club of ours, and where Nimesh's band had an amazing gig a year before. I was completely caught off guard. First of all, it was a Monday night. And secondly, I randomly suggested going to the Cotton Club the very night he was planning the proposal, having no idea what was going on! So when he pulled out the ring I was so confused; I was like, 'Wait, I suggested date night tonight, what?!'
At the end of the show, the Cotton Club band broke out into our favorite song, 'Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You' and Nimesh got down on one knee and the rest is history."
These two are about to tie the knot! See you at the ceremony!
