Hi there, gals! Let's start off the day with some gorgeous shots from this pre-wedding celebration captured by Erin Shimazu Photography. Today's bride is looking particularly colorful and absolutely adorable in her vibrant anarkaliHenna Dil Se worked the mehndi magic on our bride at this trendy soiree. I love the glitter-dipped wine glasses as votives and the playful shot of the happy couple with the cigars. For more details from this event, head to the gallery

Our bride's love story:

"The night started off uneventfully. Vishal stopped off at a local bar, The Wellesbourne, on his way home after a long day. While waiting for his roommate, Darren, to meet him, Vishal tried to strike up a conversation with a beautiful Indian girl, who promptly did not notice. Eswari was seemingly too focused on her friends and getting her wine.

Even after Vishal's roommate got there, he kept trying to make eye contact with Eswari. However, she stubbornly continued to be clueless. Twenty minutes went by before Eswari finally noticed a guy with a charming smile sitting at the bar and checking her out. Her friend, Tana, promptly forced her to go on back up to the bar, order a drink, and see what would happen.

Vishal teased Eswari about getting another glass of wine so soon, and before they knew it two hours had passed and they were clearly hitting it off. The chemistry was instant! It took her about an hour to figure out he was Indian, but it took him about a month to figure out how to say her name right, so we’ll call that even. Like a gentleman, Vishal asked her to write down her number (and name, spelled phonetically) on a red napkin, and a week later they went on their first date."

I'll be back with some gorgeous wedding portraits, so don't be a stranger!
