From the bride, on the wedding style:

"I have never been one of those girly, girls but I knew one thing. My wedding had to include the color blue. We wanted it to be very elegant and I was thinking of Royal colors to represent my Rajput heritage. We decided to choose royal blue and stop sign red for my wedding with champagne and coral accents. We were so pleased with the outcome and it was even better than what we had imagined thanks to my fabulous wedding decorators."

On planning:

"I have to say there were many decisions to be made but the best part of planning my dream wedding was being able to have the freedom to make this day look exactly like we wanted it to be. Our parents were so sweet to let us decide everything and let us have anything and everything we desired."

On friends & fam helping:

"Our families were very open to our ideas and definitely gave input. My father and father-in-law made great wedding invitations from their innovative minds. My mother and mother-in-law were very hands on with party favors and home decor for our house events that just made everything come together. Both families were very involved, supportive and energetic about making our wedding picture perfect."

On additional details:

"There are so many details that went into our wedding. We spent days creating a perfect wedding website that is still running. My sweet mom bought amazing wedding jewelry from India on her own as I was unable to go due to medical school. My henna was so intricate and took 8 hours to complete, and believe it or not lasted 4 weeks! Our cakes were just exquisite, with the intricate details of the peacock for our wedding cake and the stanley cup for the grooms cake. We as the couple had made cute personal touches to our weddings with cute baraat hand held electric custom fans, bridal party gift bags sent to the bridal party rooms, our popcorn goody bags to finish our movie themed reception as each table had one of our favorite movie names, and not to forget the afterparty shots made by my creative husband in syringes (as we both are doctors) to end a great night."

Reception pics still ahead.
