Rob Lyons Photography, & guest photographer, Rosalie Black Photography bring us a stunning pictorial of pre-wedding portraits of the couple before they have their Indian ceremony. Maharani Mana's face just eats up the lens! She looks stunning in her lengha, and her intricate mehndi design by New World Henna is amazing on film! Her hubby-to-be looks very handsome alongside his queen! They must of had a blast shooting this! I just go ga-ga over the close-up image of them underneath the umbrella in the rain! It's like they are the only two people in the world! So romantic! See it all in the gallery!
From the bride, on the wedding style:
"I am Persian, and Vinay is Gujarati. Both of us come from such rich and unique cultures that it quickly became clear to us that we would want to give each tradition the time and attention it deserves. Rather than try to fuse the two, we decided to have two separate ceremonies on two different days. Doing so gave us the opportunity to have multiple color palettes that reflect taste and vision."
On planning:
"Planning the Hindu ceremony was a real learning process for me. I had only attended a handful of Indian weddings before planning my own and had to rely heavily on friends and family for direction. It was amazing to explore all the possibilities from decor to mendhi, and don't get me started on the fashion!"
On a special moment:
"Every minute of the whole weekend was amazing! It rained throughout the majority of our weekend and we were unable to get as many photos as we had hoped before the Hindu ceremony began. Once the reception was underway, our photographers pulled us outside for a photo in the rain they had been planning all day. The only problem? It had stopped raining! Vinay and I just hugged and laughed at the irony of finally having clear skies but wishing for rain! We were still able to pull off the photo as the photographers had envisioned and it turned out to be one of everyone's favorite images!"
Ceremony images are still ahead!
