The big moment has arrived! Following their Nikkah ceremony - planned by KIS (cubed) Events & the sangeet celebration at the Savannah Rapids Pavillion, we get to see their South Indian wedding at the upscale Augusta Marriott in Georgia, courtesy of FengLong Photography! As Maharani Meena gracefully walks down the aisle to marry the Maharaja of her dreams, it's hard to tell just how overwhelmed with emotion she really was at what she calls the "most magical moment." She says, "...When I saw Humble waiting for me on the stage. I was so emotional, but [he] kept motioning me to breathe, and I just forgot about everyone and everything but him." That's so incredibly sweet, right ladies?! That's true love. You can see their love shine through in their eyes as they face one another, hand in hand, at the majestic mandap. From the bride, on the wedding style:
"Well we had 2 full weddings , a Muslim Nikkah and Valima. Then the next weekend we flew to Georgia, where we had a traditional South Indian Brahmin wedding preceded by a mehendi, and followed by a reception. So you can see I had extremes to work with. In terms of style, I really wanted to go with a contemporary spin on a classic moghul wedding. I wanted rich vibrant colors that would be fun and not too serious. I knew i wanted to wear a red/orange lengha with lots of gold, so I used that as a central piece, and based the rest of my theme off of that."
On the New York ceremony:
"My venue for my New York wedding was absolutely fabulous. We had the wedding at the Manhattan Penthouse, a sky high venue overlooking Manhattans Union Square and Empire State building, the next night we switched things up and went for the Valima at the Dumbo Spot, which overlooked the Manhattan Bridge and really captured the Brooklyn Vibe we wanted. It was a great contrast!"
