Cherry blossom trees and childhood pictures make this Western ceremony come to life at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club in New York. What a perfectly gorgeous, sunny day to have an outdoor wedding! Love Ever More Photography beautifully captures the blushing Indian bride as she walks down the staircase in her stunning white wedding dress. And, get this, Sameena and Dinesh planned their entire wedding themselves, a process which took three months! Luckily, taking this project on as a couple only brought them closer together. Don't you dare move a muscle because we've got lots more coming your way, so head down to the gallery for even more wedding fun!
From the bride, on the wedding style:
"We wanted our wedding to be fun, classy and personalized. We both love doing common things differently, giving it our own personal touch. And given our love for travel and the role it played in our relationship & shaping us as individuals, we decided to go for a travel themed cocktail reception at Falkirk. The color theme was light pink for the outdoor personalized ceremony, we used cherry blossom trees and hung our childhood pictures along the aisle."
On planning:
"Planning a wedding in about 3 months, pretty much on our own was stressful but very rewarding in the end to see it all come together exactly how we wanted it to be! The advantage of hosting it in New York is that it gives you complete freedom to make it as personalized as you want and once you have the right vendors selected, you get professional, structured service. The best part was that it was kinda the first project we took on as a couple and you really end up growing closer in the process - learning to manage finances, taking decisions quickly, researching, agreeing to disagree on certain things and keeping it real! By the time our close friends n family arrived in New York, it was all taken care of and infact we even kept the venues as a surprise for them!"
On the special moment:
"I think our personalized ceremony was very special. We had few meetings with our wedding officiant Norma in the previous month where she got to know our story, common likings etc and she produced a beautiful wedding script about us as a couple for the ceremony. Walking down the stairs and getting the first glimpse of Dinesh standing by the white gazebo surrounded by our closest family and friends, and happiness on my dad's face is a cherished memory."
