Today's Indian bride and groom are giving us an exclusive look into their Sikh and Hindu ceremonies in Virginia, and I can't wait for you to see these two vibrant celebrations of love in striking photographic detail, thanks to the photographic prowess of Sachi Anand Photography. This romantic affair was planned and designed by Shayosa Events, and we're going to check out some highlights from the Sikh wedding ceremony at the Raj Khalsa Gurdwara, and a few fabulous portraits of the happy couple first. Maharani Megha is a bridal delight in her marigold and hot pink wedding lengha, and her look is completed with a traditional and stunning dupatta. Her hair and makeup keep her looking fresh and sweet, but wait until you see the phenomenal face Bridal Elegance by Suman Khosla puts on her for her next ceremony and the reception! In the meantime, head into the gallery for even more memorable moments from this Sikh celebration.
The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:
"We met up at a popular Georgetown coffee shop. After a few dates we both just sort of knew it was for the long haul."
On the romantic proposal:
"I'm not the romantic type, but it was very funny in retrospect. Put two nerds together and you have one very nerdy proposal that involves legos and for the romantic side roses. It is what I call perfection."
On her wedding style:
"I wouldn't say I had a dream wedding in mind. I just knew what my parents wanted and keeping that in mind with me being non-traditional and always wanting something different that I haven't seen anywhere else my wedding planner and I sat down to figure out the traditional/non-traditional elements and put it together."
I'll be back in a flash with some fantastic details from their second ceremony, so make sure to check in soon!
