Matei Horvath Photography and Impressive Creations show us captivating images from Harpreet and Shagun's lovely Sikh and Hindu ceremonies at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Southern California! Before we get to the actual nuptials, behold the magnificent Maharani getting ready in her hotel suite! I am just in awe of the stunning mehndi design by Neha Assar, and the gorgeously defined shimmery eye makeup by Angela Tam. The beautiful red bangles paired with the gold and ruby jewels add even more color to the hot pink lengha. Hold on to your seats because I've got tons coming your way from this amazing event which talented vendors, like Special Occasions DJ & Lighting, Have Trunk Will Travel and Enchanted Carriages all play an intricate part! From the bride, on how they met:
"I met Harpreet in medical school and knew he was "the one" pretty early on. He was a year below me in medical school at Emory University in Atlanta and we met through a common friend when he started school there. Our relationship was absolutely perfect and progressed so smoothly that after less than 6 months, we both knew that we would someday get married."
On the proposal:
"Harpreet surprised me on my birthday with a romantic proposal after dinner at a restaurant on top of Atlanta's tallest building with a rotating restaurant on the top floor. It was an intimate proposal followed by lots of phone calls and text messages! The next day we celebrated my birthday and engagement with all of our friends."
On the hair and makeup:
"I have LONG hair, so I definitely spent time looking online for hairstyles that would fit my long (and sometimes very poofy) hair. My hair and makeup artist (Angela Tam) did an AMAZING job working with my hair and perfecting my makeup."
On the mehndi:
"Neha Assar did my mehndi and she did such a great job. I loved working with her and she is truly the most talented mehndi artist I have seen."
On the lenghas:
"I did spend a good amount of time on the internet searching for lenghas and using pinterest…but when it came down to picking the outfits….all of my research was useless! I ended up picking outfits in the moment that seemed "right." If a lengha gave a good feeling inside, I got it! I did not limit myself to any designer or style and was open to anything that spoke to me."
