It's time for today's South Asian bride and groom to party the day away with family and friends at the Court In The Square, where Simply by Tamara Nicole has planned them the perfect wedding reception with help from floral and decor experts Il Bel Fiore. The tables are shining with gold details and the flowers are in bright and beautiful bunches. Luma Weddings has captured some post-ceremony highlights from this fantastic party, and it's easy to see what a spectacular time was had by all. There were Bollywood performances by family and friends, and even a mithai tower by Mayuri Bakery in lieu of a traditional wedding cake! For all of the need-to-know details from this incredibly beautiful event, make sure to check out the complete gallery!
The bride, on her most memorable wedding day moment:
"My favorite moment was the Bollywood performances by our dear friends and family. They put so much effort into rehearsing and coming up with song ideas. It was even more special because it was one of the last memories we have of our dear friend Krishna Venkatesh who unfortunately went missing a couple months later and was never found. It made both of us feel so loved that they did all of that!"
On her and her Raja's first dance song selection:
"Our first dance was to "Aao Na" from Kyun Ho Gaya Na. We always referred to it as "our song" throughout our relationship. Actually dancing our first dance to that song was such an emotional moment for us because it reminded us of how many obstacles we had overcome to be together."
On their "wedding cake":
"I didn't want to have a wedding cake because Vivek and I are vegetarian and do not eat egg. Sometimes finding the right vegetarian cake can be difficult. Instead, we decided to have a tower of our favorite mithai."
Have a fabulous rest of the day, ladies! We'll see you all tomorrow for another unforgettable wedding event!
