Mira Savara Events plans a royal reception for our dashing duo after their amazing Destination South Indian wedding in Hawaii! Held at the sophisticated Ocean Ballroom in the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina, this event is springtime fresh in shades of yellow, gold and white. Steven Boyle Design illuminates the room with lavish floral centerpieces, and Chaircover Express ties peach ribbons around every chair, which perfectly match our Maharani's spectacular lengha! Danny K Photography catches up with our newlyweds on the dance floor as they stare into each other's eyes like no on else is even in the room. To see all the lively entertainment at this fun-filled reception, take a trip to the gallery!
From the bride, on the reception style:
"The reception was held in an outdoor/indoor venue. Keeping in line with our Hawaiian wedding, we had both contemporary and traditional Hawaiian dancers to entertain our guests. The area was lined with palm trees and tiki torches. Inside the ballroom, we wanted the feel to be elegant, soft and romantic. I loved the idea of a soft, blush color palette that consisted of peaches and ivory. Of course every Bride likes a little glamour, so we accented that with a touches of gold and crystals."
On a special moment:
"As to be expected, there are many for me! But I would have to say that one of the most magical moments was my father-daughter dance! My dad absolutely loves to dance whether at home or at the center of a party! Couple that with his unique taste in music, we knew we wanted to go all out! We started off to a slow song that we choreographed ourselves as a ballroom dance to Billy Joel's "Lullaby, Goodnight My Angel." Just when our guests probably thought that this would be our entire dance, we transitioned into a fun, fast dance to Pulp Fiction's "Jack Rabbit Slims Twist Contest!" And yes- we were totally inspired by John Travolta and Uma Thurman's dance moves! Spending that special time at home rehearsing with my Dad is something I will always cherish."
On the first dance:
"Sameer is an extraordinary guitarist who loves composing his own songs. After a few months of dating, he surprised me with a song he had written for me! It was the most amazing tune I have ever heard. Prior to the wedding, Sameer secretly recorded his song so that we could use it for first dance song. Dancing to it together on our Wedding night was just as magical as it was the first time I heard it. It reminded us of how far we have come and to dance to our very own song while looking out and seeing all of our loved ones was truly ineffable!"
Hope you loved this wedding like I did, ladies!
