Ian Stuart of Mariée Bridal helped today's Indian bride realize the dress of her dreams when he created her pale, pink wedding gown with stunning floral appliqués and princess-perfect details like romantic pickups — inspired by the bride's love for Marie Antoinette-esque fashion and design. Her turquoise necklace is a bold and beautiful contrast to her ensemble and reflects the bounty of these ornamental stones in the Southwestern United States. I love how delicate her tikka is and how simply amazing her incredible lace dupatta from Kaeya Indian Couture looks! From head-to-toe, this Princess is majorly impressive! Not to be completely outshined by his bride's fabulous wedding day fashions, the groom dons a shimmering, champagne sherwani and a pink dastaar that complements his Maharani's colors. Their beautiful ceremony at the Nishkam Seva Gurdwara Sahib gives you an exclusive look at the bridesmaids in their salmon and gold dresses, plus some of the most touching matrimonial moments. Once these two lovebirds have officially tied the knot, the bride switches gears by changing into the most breathtaking reception lengha by Satya Paul for a post-ceremony party at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. The burgundy and gold gown simply dazzles as the newly married Maharani twirls on the dance floor. All of the luxurious floral and decor elements are sure to blow you away, and some of the other splendid Indian wedding decorations, like cactus lit up with twinkling lights, are just some of the small and important design details that set this bride apart. I'm sure all of the day's amazingly striking elements made for some of the most frame-worthy photos. Luckily for the newlyweds, Ushna Khan Photography was in attendance to make sure and capture all of those moments for the lucky couple to look back on for years to come.
The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:
"Mandeep and I met, hilariously enough, at a Panjabi MC concert on November 19, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois, where we were both living at the time. I knew he was "the one" about a year and half later when he visited Arizona to meet my family and they all fell in love with him."
On her Raja's memorable proposal:
"We had gone to Sprinkles Cupcakes in Scottsdale, Arizona, on a hot summer's day and ordered a couple of red velvets. While driving back to my parents' house, he kept pushing me to eat my cupcake there and then, in the car, while I was driving. I was so annoyed by his incessant urging that I finally replied, somewhat severely, "fine!" He opened the box to hand me my cupcake and I glanced down to grab it. I noticed a ring plopped right into the center of one of them. I turned to look at him and he grinningly asked, "will you marry me?" I felt my face turn bright red, both in surprise and embarrassment. I smiled my biggest smile and affirmed, "yes!" I had the dorkiest smile on my face the rest of the day and couldn't stop looking at my left ring finger."
On her wedding style:
"I had kind of been obsessing about wedding planning before Mandeep had even asked me to marry him. I'm admittedly a history nerd and knew I wanted my wedding to reflect Marie Antoinette. I puzzled together photos of dresses, decor, and even drinks and desserts and plastered them on my Pinterest profile. Naturally, there were a lot of ruffles and lots of tulle and lace, pink and gold, pearls, and macarons!"
