From the bride, on how they met:
"I met Allister in high school during Driver's Ed. We dated for 12 years before getting married and we have been soulmates from day one. We have been through so much together and I cannot imagine spending my life with anyone else!"
On the proposal:
"I thought we were going to have dinner with a couple friends. It was a Wednesday night and I was on a busy ICU rotation in the hospital, so there was no way I would suspect anything. Our friends "canceled" and we had a lovely dinner together alone followed by a walk along the lake front by the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. As we got closer to the final site, there were tea light candles lit along the way with the song "Marry You" playing in the background. Tea lights were arranged to say, "Marry Me" and he got down on one knee and proposed. Both of our families were there to enjoy the moment and he surprised me after with an impromptu trip to Miami to celebrate!"
On the hair and makeup:
"I looked on Pinterest and found styles I really liked. Pinterest helped me plan the wedding more than anything else."
On the lenghas:
"We went to India for a quick 11 day trip and went to several stores. I just looked at lengha after lengha until I finally found the ones I loved. The second I saw the outfits I wore, I knew I wanted them!"
