Neha and Max have their Indian fusion wedding on a sunny August day in the heart of Canada's capital city at the Ottawa Convention Centre, overlooking Parliament Hil. Ruby Refined Events worked with our lovebirds for months beforehand to ensure that every detail was perfectly thought out! The Hindu ceremony takes place under a lovely peach and white mandap—designed by Sage Designs, which was later converted into a chuppah for the heartfelt Jewish nuptials. Popcorn Studios captures all the special moments and rituals during this matrimonial lovefest! What an adorable couple! See more of their magical day in the gallery!
From the bride, on the wedding vision:
"Our vision for our wedding was a modern romantic celebration of two cultures. We love intricate mehndi designs and knew we wanted to incorporate them as much as possible. Sidra helped us narrow down our palette into bright teals and reds blended with more muted colors and gold accents. We were luckily able to work with our close friend, a designer, to develop invitations, seating chart, menus, and programs that used our monogram and color palette. One of our favorite details was our guest book, which was a concert-style poster inspired by the music posters that we’ve been collecting for years. Another friend created floral and henna cupcakes that used the same color palette found throughout our wedding. We worked closely with Sidra to find design touches in local stores that fit our goal of a modern, romantic wedding. Some of our favorite details were the gold elephants on the head table, the tall matte-aqua vases, the chuppah/mandap (as both Hindu and Jewish marriage rituals are conducted under a four pillared structure), and the ombre florals spanning the head table. Marquee letters designed and built by the bride’s brother (inspired by similar letters at our favorite restaurant in Toronto) added a personal touch that we will be able to look back on forever. All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with the results!"
