It's day two of pre-wedding fun in Long Island, New York, and we're at the Crest Hollow Country Club, where the fabulous photo phenom, Nadia D. Photography, is capturing all the most mesmerizing sangeet details from the evening's incredible events. With Design House Decor heading up the floral and decor committee, you can be certain that this celebration was a breathtaking site to behold. We're reveling in the vibrant garden-like theme — the stage was a page straight out of a Shakespearean fairy tale! Maharani Sumeet's incredible designer lengha, by Tarun Tahiliani, along with her hair and makeup which was flawlessly finished by KC Makeup by Karuna Chani, surely turned heads as she made her entrance into the party. Her runway ready cobalt shadow, nude lip and the gorgeously deconstructed side-braid were totally Princess perfect. The happy couple enlisted DJUSA to deliver dance floor beats for everyone to move to, making this one night partygoers would not soon forget. For a closer look at this captivating pre-wedding celebration, head into the complete gallery where you can see even more floral and decor details, plus some uber romantic sangeet portraits of the beautiful Sikh bride and groom!
The bride, on her sangeet night style:
"For my Sangeet, I wanted to be traditional but more so wanted to keep things playful and fun and colorful. It was very important for it to be colorful and playful. Even for decor I wanted it to be colorful but I didn't want to do the colored fabrics everyone does, I wanted to be different so we did a more Rajasthani, still colorful and traditional play on the Sangeet. We focused on pinks oranges, greenery and gold."
On her sangeet night hair and makeup:
"I had specific looks in mind for my hair and makeup. I knew I wanted to keep up the bold colors for the Sangeet and Karuna at KC MAKEUP by Karuna Chani is such a delight to work with. She knows me so well and just gets what I'm after, we were on the same page for having a cobalt blue eye and a nude lip to keep it more runway. It was perfect, and I actually had a picture of the hairstyle I wanted which was a play on a braid (just like I was playing off of traditional) but kept it more fun and playful as a more deconstructed braid within falling curls. Karuna made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world that day and I couldn't have been happier."
Sit tight, my dears! It's almost time for the main event, and we'll be checking out what the bride is wearing to say her I dos, next!
