Happy August, friends! We're so excited to kick this month off right with an awe-inspiring Indian wedding event beautifully captured by KSD Weddings! First, meet today's Indian bride, Roshni, as she gets ready for her big day with the help of expert hair and makeup artist Flawless Beauty by Pauline. Her dramatic lashes and brilliant, red lips are what Maharani dreams are made of, and her half up/half down do is perfection. The red, cream and white bridal lengha she's chosen is stunning, and each and every piece of jewelry decorating her body — holy samosas, I love her tikka! — is simply magnificent. Maharani Roshni's mehndi is on fleek, and that close-up pic of it with her bangles is probably my fave of this bunch. She's about to reveal her wedding day look to her Raja, Pavan, at The Merion, where they will be saying their I do's, but before we get into all the romantic details from their first look, head into the gallery for even more portraits of the bride!

The bride, on how she met her Raja:

"It was the summer of 2008, and my husband, Pavan, had just moved from downtown Chicago to the small town of North Chicago where he was going to start his first year of medical school. I had just moved to North Chicago all the way from NY to start podiatry school and was nervous to spend the next four years so far from home. We first met each other during orientation and started to get to know one another. After just a few minutes of talking we realized how much in common we have.

Over the next few months we spent countless hours studying together in the library and hanging out with friends in Chicago. Before they knew it, it was November and Pavan asked me out. The rest is history!"

See the groom's reaction, and get to know the wedding party, next!
