Ayesha Mian Wedding Planning & Decor fabulously planned and designed our next featured wedding event, which has been superbly captured and edited in this breathtaking trailer by the uber talented team at SWAT Films. It features a gorgeous couple who share their love for their home, New York City, through the most inspiring and imaginative urban-themed celebration complete with Metro signs and Playbill programs. This incredible South Asian fusion wedding event boasts fabulous floral and decor work by Elegant Affairs that will definitely spark your own creativity and have you planning your dream, themed wedding. As the wedding party makes their way down the aisle at Pier Sixty, you might see a familiar face or two, too! I'm talking about one of our previously featured brides, Sana, and her hubby, Michael — whose very own wedding day was captured in these posts and pics by BNB Photography. Sana, of Makeup by Sana, was the sensational bride who did her own makeup, and guess what, she beautified her sister, Maharani Arooba, for this spectacular event too! Having an expert makeup artist in the fam on your wedding day must come in handy! Arooba is a flawless, vision in her sparkling red lengha, her groom, Raja Justin, looking dashing as can be in his traditional ensemble as well! These two will have their guests talking for a long time to come with their sophisticated, urban-chic affair, and you'll see why when you press play!

The bride, on her wedding style:

"Both my fiance and I have lived in New York City for over 10 years. We are in love with everything about the city--from the food, the art and the culture. Our inspiration came from creating a theme around all the aspects of New York we love. We tried to incorporate as much as we could without going overboard.
Our colors were inspired by a quintessential New Year's Eve party in the city--lots of golds, silvers and black! Our traditional Desi outfits needed to take center stage and our chosen color palette provided the perfect canvas."

On what she enjoyed most about planing her dream wedding:

"The whole planning process has really brought me a lot closer with members of my family. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful but I had the best support a bride could ask for. My parents, sisters, brother-in-laws, cousins (Zeerak and Najla) and my Aunt were unbelievably helpful in every way imaginable. Nothing could have been executed without them!"

On choosing her dream wedding lengha:

"Although my wedding decor was very modern and contemporary, I knew I wanted to keep with tradition in a red lengha. My only must-have was that I wanted to incorporate some black accents in both the lengha itself as well as the jewelry. My Aunt, Sheila, was my go to stylist and helped me design the perfect dress! It incorporated the perfect amount of black accents and had the most amazing 3 foot train."

On her having her MUA sister do her makeup:

"My sister was my makeup artist! She had just gotten married a month before my big day and she had done her own makeup. She looked STUNNING! As soon as I saw her look I knew I had to ask if she would do my makeup. Originally I was hesitant because I didn't want to have a close member of my family work on my wedding day. However, I quickly realized that it was the best situation possible. Not only did my sister make me look and feel fabulous, I was comfortable around her the entire time I was getting glammed up."

On her and her Raja's first dance song selection:

"We chose to dance to John Mayer's cover of "XO" (originally by Beyonce). We both wanted a song that would be special to us but not a song that was currently on the Top 40s charts. Since our wedding was at the start of wedding season, we wanted our song to be unique and not the same song used by the majority of 2015 brides!"

We still have one more amazing film coming up, so make sure not to miss out!
