It's Aditya and Runjhun's bid day and we get to see all the amazing details coordinated by Planning Elegance. Lin & Jirsa Photography kick things off with the bride getting her hair and makeup done by the talented Beauty By NG Nida Gazi. The makeup is bold, with dark liner, defined brows, luscious lashes and bright red lips. A light dust of shimmer graces her upper cheek bones to achieve that bridal glow. Her slicked back updo serves as the perfect foundation for her bejewelled multi-chain tikka. Our Maharani is a true Bollywood beauty in her red lengha! From the bride, on how they met:
"I met Aditya on Match.com. After initially emailing and texting back and forth, the moment we spoke over the phone, I knew he was "the one". I felt this uncanny connection with him, as though we had known each other for a lifetime, and I guess he felt something too because we ended up having that conversation into the early hours of the morning!"
On hair and makeup:
"I wanted to have a very vintage, retro look for my wedding ceremony. I was lucky that during my wedding shopping, my father actually found a matha patti that was exactly what I needed. With a broad center tikka, it also had 4 strands of kundan going out from it to each side, so it acted more like a headpiece covering my entire head. It was absolutely gorgeous, and added to the "Jodha" look I was going for. For the reception, I wanted to go more glamourous, since the theme to our reception was a movie premiere to our movie, at which we were being introduced as the stars."
On the lengha:
"Not to sound a bit like Harry Potter, but I did not choose my lehenga, but rather, my lehenga chose me! I was in Bombay, searching for that perfect lehenga to say yes to, but all in despair. On my last day in Bombay, a lehenga that was actually being shipped aboard was accidentally shown to me, and it ended up being the one! I knew from the moment I tried it that it was exactly the classic, red, vintage piece I had been looking for."
