Our first wedding film of the day is all sorts of amazing. First, it's a destination wedding. Second, the bride is an expert wedding planner, so you know you're in for a real treat. Third, the soundtrack will surely wake you up and get you going this morning — I know I was definitely movin' to it! And fourth, the happy couple are too adorbs to even handle. Jas Motion filmed and edited this unforgettable highlight reel at the Grand Lucayan, where Prestige Kreations (of which Kiran, the bride, is event manager and co-founder) planned and designed the most extraodinary, Sikh wedding event our dreams. The Maharani of the hour looks flawless from start to finish, thanks to beauty expert Singar Studio, who worked on her hair and makeup, and also created the incredibly breathtaking mehndi work which you can see in detail at the 3:30 mark. Our beautiful Sikh bride also had help from artist Mesmerizing Kreativity, in the bridal beauty department — and really, what's better than one MUA? Two! We simply can't wait to get our hungry little wedding lovin' hands on what is undoubtedly the most fabulous collection of wedding photos, captured by A.S. Nagpal Photography, from this amazing affair!

The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:

"Thank goodness for the St. John’s Bhangra Team! If it weren’t for the team, there probably wouldn’t be an us. We met in 2005, when a few of us decided to start the team at our undergrad, St. John's University. It was just a simple “Hi” that led to team lunches, numerous practices for competitions, and shows, Dunkin' Donut runs during finals, acknowledging that both of us suffered from the middle child syndrome, and our “OMG” moments when we realized how similar our family dynamics were! And the rest…well is not really history. It was a start of a beautiful relationship that both of us didn’t know was blossoming. It was nice to be comfortable with someone with no strings attached. In fact, the one thing that really made us compatible was how much love and respect we had for our families and all the kids around us. We did our own thing but always found a median in school. We both are goal driven and career orientated individuals, so this is why we understood each other so well. We often joke around that we aren’t a “normal” couple who went on dates, movies or vacations together. In fact, both of us were never really in the same state together in the last 7 years. He was "the one" when my sister and brother gave him their stamp of approval. How did we make it work? No concrete answer. Guess we both must’ve done something right."

On her Raja's super romantic proposal:

"The proposal was absolutely amazing! Obviously since our story started because of the St. John's Bhangra Team, a Bhangra flash mob in the middle of Bryant Park, a special song and guitar performance sung by Sandeep's Nephews Shaan and Armaan, an engagement shoot, witnessed by our 100 closest family and friends along with over 100 bystanders only was appropriate! The sunny day was perfect for such an event to take place. He arranged for a breakfast date for my favorite pancakes at Max and Brenners, followed by a walk in Union Square, a few "fake" phone calls and off we went to Bryant Park to have coffee with one of my friends, or so I thought. As I sat there admiring my city with my friend Paruel, little did I know Virsa Our Tradition ( all boys Bhangra Team) which Sandeep and our brothers are a part of, started performing in the middle of the park. At first I was confused to see our brothers dancing away, and the photographer and videographer recording my every reaction, but as soon as Sandeep joined the performance, I knew something was going to happen! As the performance ended, I thought that this couldn't be the day because my family wasn't around me. Little did I know, as Sandeep turned me around, our entire family was standing just a few feet away from me with my favorite gerbera daises in their hands! Guess my reaction was well worth the effort that was put into this proposal. It was full of emotions, laughter and happiness! I couldn't have asked for a more amazing proposal! A special thank you to our Grandparents, Parents, Uncles, Aunts, Bhola Didi, Nipun Jij, Rema Didi, Dipy Jijaji, Manu, Sunny Shaan and Armaan, Paruel and of course Sandeep for getting everyone together to make this possible! And, of course DJ JP/ Karma, SS Productions by Vishal Sehgal, Jabar Jung Singh Videography, Virsa and all of our family and friends for sharing our memorable day with us!"

On her wedding style:

"As an event manager and Co-founder of Prestige Kreations, my team and I, have coordinated, designed and organized numerous events, some grand and detailed, others simple, elegant and beautiful, yet my style was something outside of the norm. I wanted a dream wedding full of the sun, the sea and memories with a traditional Indian Royal touch to it. A Destination wedding was my dream and I was on a mission to make this a reality. I knew what I was getting myself into when I pitched the idea to our parents, siblings and Sandeep. It was a tough decision to make but we made it happen. A location full of palm trees, sand, beaches, food and entertainment served as my palette. After numerous phone calls, months research and site visits, our families gave their stamp of approval to our dream location: The Grand Lucayan located in Freeport, Bahamas.

I wanted to incorporate the traditional Indian feel in paradise. That is why the theme of our wedding was Indian Royalty with Peacocks in Paradise. Peacocks were our motif through our wedding weekend."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream, destination wedding:

"Planning a destination wedding is not easy. Actually its much harder because of the remote location. However, the closer we got to our day, the excitement just increased. Knowing that over 300 of our closest family and friends were about to fly all the way to the Bahamas for us, just made all the months and hours of planning so worth it! Knowing how happy everyone was getting to enjoy our special with us just left us speechless!"

On picking out her dream wedding lengha(s):

"I am huge fan of the show Jodha Akbar. I love reading about historical indian royalty and the way Maharanis dressed and carried themselves. I knew I wanted to feel like Indian Queen the day of our wedding. That is why I consulted with the well-known designers of Frontier Raas South Ext in Delhi as well as Karishma Fashions in NYC to create my Jodha inspired Lengha. Bobby Dass from NY, and Tushar Batra from Delhi, and their respective teams spent countless hours creating my gold, magenta, coral antique customized designer lengha. Not only was my Wedding Lengha was perfect, I felt like Indian Royalty ready to meet her Raja.

My reception gown was the complete opposite. Sandeep and I wanted a red carpet event during our reception and that's exactly how we felt! I wore another customized wine-red gown with a touch of elegant indian embroidery. It was simply perfect and I couldn't thank my designers enough! Sandeep looked so handsome in a customized cream and black suit from Suit Supply paired with personalized cuff links from Paul Smith and of course accessorized with his TAG Heuer. My Raja was definitely the perfect fit as a Hollywood celebrity!"

On what she found to be most memorable about her wedding day:

"Having over 300 people fly all the way to the Bahamas for us was magical for us. The most heartwarming speeches given by grandparents, parents, sisters, brothers, jijajis, and nephews were extremely touching and will forever remain in our hearts. All the performances at the sangeet were extremely beautiful and fun! Just having our family around us enjoying the sun sea and memories was incredible!"

On her hair and makeup:

"I worked with two amazing artists! Leena Bajaj from Singar Studios from Texas and Maksuda K from Mesmerizing Kreativity from NY. Leena was extremely patient and understanding when it came to how I wanted to look during my events. Not only did she understand my vision, but her expertise made me feel so beautiful. She knew exactly what styles would suit me best and I trusted her completely.

Maksuda dolled up my amazing bridesmaids and myself for pre events and she did a stunning job! Not only did she pay close attention to all our concerns, but she was extremely professional and was mindful of what look each girl wanted."

On the role family and friends played in helping her realize her dream day:

"This would be the right time to thank not only each and every person that came to our wedding but most importantly our grandparents, parents, didis, jijajis, brothers, nieces and nephews, groomsmen and bridesmaids who worked endless hours to make our dream wedding come to life! Each one of them was our voice of reason and the way they handled our events was nothing short of perfection. Another special thank you goes to Parneet and Harris from Prestige Kreations for executing each event perfectly and turning my vision into a reality!
And of course to all our vendors who tirelessly captured each and every event!
Most importantly, We would like to thank our Dad, Sarwan Singh Chandi for his blessings from above and showering his love upon us every single day."

We're just getting started, lovelies! Stick around for more Filmy Friday fabulosity!
