I'm back with a sneak peek at Maharani Priya's ceremony style, and a first look at the Raja of dreams, her handsome heartthrob, Anup! Greg Blomberg Photography captured these striking stills of the happy couple as they got ready to tie the knot, and today's Indian bride will take your breath away in her traditional red wedding lengha! Expert hair and makeup artists from Ishnae & Co gave her the perfect loose curls and radiantly painted lips. Her masterful mehndi creation was custom-designed by herself to mirror the hidden elephants theme throughout her Indian wedding event. Raja Anup plays the role of a true-to-life Prince Charming in his ivory-colored sherwani and matching accessories, and I can't wait to share their unforgettable wedding ceremony with you, next! Until then, you can check out more details from Priya's incredible bridal fashions in the complete gallery!
Priya, on Anup's romantic proposal:
"He convinced me that he needed a date for a work brunch on a Saturday (I'm gullible), he drove us to the Arboretum where he'd rented a private gazebo overlooking the lake and hired a string quartet to play my favorite songs as we had a light brunch then they started playing "our song" all of me by John legend which is when he asked me to dance and then got down on one knee to pop the question. Afterwards we were joined by our friends and family who were hidden around the corner for lunch followed by a boat party that afternoon to continue the celebrations."
On her bridal fashions:
"I first spent hours online looking for styles and themes and colors that I liked I was lucky enough to have found Chandan from Chandan Fashion House in Toronto, who helped me custom design everything I wore! We also got the bridesmaids outfits, groom's attire, groomsmen outfits, my family's wedding wear and flower girl outfits from Chandan."
On her hair and makeup:
"I was blessed to have the absolute best hair and makeup team from Ishnae & Co in Dallas, they styled each look based on the outfit I was wearing and created a unique magical look for all 6 of my events."
I'll be back in a bit with the most memorable Indian wedding ceremony to hit the state of Texas, so check back in soon!
