With the help of MUA, Beauty By NG Nida Gazi, today's Indian bride has let her hair down and marveled us all with her magnificent reception makeup for her post-ceremony soirée at the DoubleTree Hilton Norwalk. She's wearing a midnight blue lengha that sparkles brilliantly like the night sky, and her brand new hubby, Mithil, is dashing as ever in a finely tailored tux, as the two rock it out on the dance floor with the help of their DJ from 3D Sounds. These fantastic reception highlights, captured by the phenomenal Chico Photo, illustrate just how fun our newlweds are as they show off their dance moves. Their planning and design team, Bridal & Event Lounge, has turned the ballroom venue into one spectacular party setting with glittering details from their elegant floral and decor. The adorable duo worked with Pacific Patisserie to create the wedding cake of their dreams — a three-tier, white work of art with just the right amount of bling. You can catch even more from their incredible Indian wedding event in the complete gallery if you're still itching for extra — we know we are!
Maharani Puja, on what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:
"Coming up with ideas that were impossible, but somehow turning them into a possibility. I would just share tons and tons of ideas with my family and friends and they were just somehow down to do everything! I decided I wanted to dance down the Haldi ceremony with my brothers! And all my brothers were down to dance, even though they're not the best dancers!!! Even the craziest of ideas! Especially my parents..they never said no to anything! Whether it was bringing a Rickshaw into the hall on my garba night, or flying out a singer I found on Youtube to come sing at the wedding! Who by the way was beyond amazing! her name is Lisa Mishra. These little things make a wedding unique! Everyone can have a wedding, but making it your own is what makes everything worth it!"
On her and her Raja's first dance song selection:
"We danced to Samjawah, and then added in Jaati Hu Mein, Oh baby don't break my heart, and then Hero #1, and finished off with Samjawah again. We both aren't the romantic type, I just didn't want people staring at us while we danced! We can do that in private, haha! So we decided to make things a little fun to go along with our personalities! I'm a huge fan of all the 90's Hindi songs."
