Maharani Jayna, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Kunal:
"Kunal and I met about 10 years ago through mutual friends. We were friends before we started dating but he pretty much knew he wanted to be with me from the very very beginning. After years of happily dating, he finally proposed!"
On her Raja's memorable marriage proposal:
"We were in Dubai just on vacation (we love to travel) , he had arranged for us to have a romantic candlelight picnic in the middle of the desert at sunset. I was so shocked I cried. We had been dating for 10 years..I had convinced myself it was just never going to happen. And when it finally did it was the most amazing surprise of my life!"
On her wedding style:
"I wanted a very classy, elegant wedding. I wanted a lot of neutral colors with flowers and candles. My decorator Shobha Rao from elegant affairs was a huge influence in my wedding look, she brought my vision to life!"
On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:
"Being creative! I got to play around and be crafty with certain wedding things. I enjoyed going on Pinterest and finding ideas and then making those ideas!"
On the search for her dream wedding and reception lenghas:
"I am probably one of the most indecisive brides ever..so picking out my wedding attire was probably one of the more difficult wedding tasks. I had looked around the Internet and in magazines and had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for when I went to India. However when we were shopping I just happened to fall in love with something the complete opposite of what I was looking for!
My reception outfit was designed by a friend of mine Amy Devan from Naveda Couture. I let her know of what type of gown I was looking for and she took her designer magic and made that Vision become a reality."
On her most memorable wedding moment:
"Walking down the aisle waas truly my most favorite part of the entire wedding!"
On her and her Raja's first dance song:
"We had our first dance to Young and Beautiful by Lana del Ray. We actually took waltz lessons. And we chose it just because we both liked the song."
On her hair and makeup:
"I had some ideas for hair and make up in mind, but my hair and makeup artist Karuna Chani really needs to take the credit for the looks because she made me look and feel fabulous!"
I'll be right back with another fantastic wedding film!
