The talented team from Floramor has decked the outdoor ceremony space at the Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery out in some of the most exquisite floral work, and the happy couple's lavishly trimmed mandap is our current obsession! We're reveling in Ankita and Sunil's unforgettably fabulous Indian wedding ceremony right now, and these breathtaking moments captured by Tim Halberg Photography are seriously captivating, are they not? We simply can't get enough of how gorgeous today's Indian bride is looking in her traditional red wedding lengha! Her hair and makeup, by Makeup by Quis, are reminiscent of old Hollywood glam, and her Raja makes the perfect leading man in his ivory sherwani! The soft hues of lavender in the floral details pay a delicate compliment to the bold and ravishing tones of Maharani Ankita's ensemble, and the guests' bright pink parasols lend an extra pop of color to this sunny wedding ceremony! We'll be checking out details from the newlyweds' reception next, but until then, visit the complete gallery for even more magnificent ceremony moments!
Maharni Ankita, on her wedding style:
"Sunil and I are so in love and we just knew this had to reflect throughout our wedding. We wanted soft, romantic colors and gorgeous lighting, linen, the works. We complimented royalty and romance by choosing soft pinks, champagnes, and golds as our colors. We wanted elegance, but we did not want it to be too bold."
On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream Indian wedding:
"The best part of planning an Indian wedding was enhancing traditions and our culture to show who we really were. I love classical mandaps, but I wanted something more ethereal. We asked our florist to help us create an elegant flower made mandap with a gorgeous chandelier to tie in the elegance. Additionally, there is so much beauty in the traditions of a Hindu ceremony including the heavy involvement of our parents. Our entire wedding was focused around our families and their importance in blessing us as we started our new life. We created slight twists of a traditional Indian wedding by allowing my dad to walk me down the aisle and having our ceremony procession led by my nephews and our fur child, Dolce (who you can meet in the gallery!)."
On her most memorable wedding moment:
"As I walked down the aisle towards my mandap with Norah Jone’s “Come Away With Me” playing in the background, I had my dad on my left side, I saw my family sitting in our front rows, and my vision blurred when I saw Sunil standing at the mandap waiting for me. I looked around at our friends and family who all had tears in their eyes. At that moment, I knew I was the luckiest and happiest girl in the world."
It's almost party time, Maharanis! Stay tuned for some seriously unforgettable reception details, coming up next!
