Maharani Divya, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Rahul:
"We initially met at an informal dinner where we were meeting families in LA that my grandma suggested as she wanted me to have some people I knew in LA as I was moving to college there. I remember his family arrived 2 hours late and I was very annoyed at that because was super hungry. At the dinner, I remember looking at him and finding him attractive but I didn't say anything to anyone and actually told my family that I thought he was a show off because he drove off super fast in his car next to my dad. He got my number and called me and asked me to Usher concert. It was after this night that I really fell in love with him and realized he was a nice and special person.
I knew he was the one after he took me for a long walk on the beach after the Usher concert and bought me a rose after our walk. I realized not only was he incredibly handsome but had a great personality and was very loving and caring. We have been together for 11 years now."
On her Raja's surprise proposal:
"He proposed to me in Vegas and I had absolutely no idea. He told me his best friend would be proposing to his girlfriend and that he needed my help to distract her while they set up the room at the Encore Suite. I took her shopping and then sent her upstairs as I thought her boyfriend would be proposing to her. Then I got a text saying to come upstairs and I was so happy for them thinking that he just asked her. When I got upstairs, the room was lit with candles and there were tons of flowers and pictures of me and my husband, Rahul. I saw him on the ground kneeling with a ring in his hand. It was an amazing surprise."
