Maharani Tanzima, on meeting the Raja of her dreams:

"When I first laid eyes on Abir Khan he was far from the type of guy I'd consider myself with. He happened to know one of my friends from high school and we were all supposed to meet up at a certain location after school to hang out. When we went to meet with him and his friends I could not believe my eyes (not in a positive way). He was wearing an orange hat with an orange sweater and orange sneakers! And he just walked like he owned the ground beneath him. That was my first impression of him. After that I did not see him for almost a year. Suddenly we bump into each at my college and turned out we were attending the same college. He was no longer the guy I remembered from our first meeting. He was down to earth and funny. I got to know him for quiete a while (7 years) and no one came close having such an impact on me and that's when I knew he was the one."

On creating her dream wedding lengha:

"After doing months of research online and in stores I decided instead of going for a traditional lengha why not incorporate an American style wedding gown to the Indian style lengha. My wedding gown had all over Zardosi work with stones with the added 30 inch train. The color of the gown was green with golden work with hot pink dupatta to give it a pop of color. I wanted to stay away from the traditional red and go for a bold unique look. My dress was custom made by Sia Bridal, NY."

On her hair and makeup:

"It was an afternoon wedding so I wanted very soft, natural makeup with loose curls on the side. I hired Tamanna from Beautybytamanna and she gave me exactly the look I had in mind. She made me feel like the most gorgeous bride. She was booked the morning of my wedding with another client and was not going to be able to do my makeup but she went out of her way to show up to my place at 4 am to get me ready before her morning bride. I was ready for my event by 8 am although my event didn't start till noon."

Check back in later today for some serious first look moments you won't want to miss!
