Maharani Jessica, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Brijesh:

"We met through my best friend, Natalie, and we knew from our first couple of dates that we were meant for each other."

On her Raja's romantic proposal:

"The proposal was in Tulum, Mexico, on November 19th, 2014, at a very romantic beach restaurant under the sky full of bright stars and the sound of beach waves crashing in the background. From the beginning of our trip there were some funny and mysterious moments that I didn’t catch on to due to the fact that I was just in love and distracted by Tulum’s ambiance, beauty and having a wonderful time with Brij. I should’ve caught on when he decided to go on a separate security line at JFK airport without telling me when we flew to Tulum, because he didn’t want me to see anything in his carry on or pockets if asked to be checked. Meanwhile, I thought how odd and careless to decide to go separately and figured it was something we should discuss after security at our gate. He explained not to worry and next time promise it won’t happen and we’ll always go through security lines together, as it should be. We had a really funny distraction when Brij found out no credit cards were accepted and the restaurant ATM machine was down so he quickly went on an ATM machine search to many businesses when finally he was able to find a functional one. Many restaurant ATM machines by the beach don’t work in Tulum! He returned and our dinner continued with romantic music, lighting, delicious food and drinks, and the perfect ambiance! After dessert, Brijesh got down on one knee and proposed."

On personal touches by family and friends at the pre-wedding celebration:

"Our family by generations and friends did an INCREDIBLE job choreographing their dances and skits for our Indian/Moroccan night themed Sangeet. They were all full of love, laughter, and fun energy! A group of my friends ended the dances/skits by choreographing an upbeat Latin song ‘Sube Las Manos Pa’Arriba by Pitbull wearing sarees."

Meet me back here later today as we unveil the first of two wedding ceremonies from Jessica and Brijesh's big day!
