There's nothing we love quite like a cultural mash-up of beautiful wedding events, and Khushali and Berts Indian fusion affair is delivering one of our favorite parts of a traditional Chinese celebration — so needless to say, we're over the moon! EVOKE Photography & Video captured these stunning highlights from the gorgeous couple's tea ceremony, where today's blushing Indian bride donned a ravishing, red kua in honor of the unforgettable occasion. Raja Bert was all smiles, and rightly so, as he and his Desi dream gal took part in the beautiful tea ritual. We are in love with the final image of all of those magnificently mehndi'd hands, and can't wait to share more from this incredible fusion wedding with you when we get back! For now, head into the complete gallery for more from this traditional Chinese tea ceremony!
Maharani Khushali, on Raja Bert's romantic proposal:
"Oh, he was so romantic!!! (which is very unusual for Bert) It was on March 11, 2014. It was our dating anniversary and Bert was supposed to be at work- so I was not expecting anything. I lived with my parents at that time. I woke up and saw the whole house filled with candles and remember being so confused as to what was going on..then, I saw him holding flowers smiling. The whole day was full of surprises he had made a romantic CD for me. Took me to a spa day and that evening we went to dinner at Cullen's and that's were he went down on his knees and asked me to marry him!"
On her hair and makeup:
" was absolutely lost in this part. Pink Palette were amazing to work with. I knew it was a good choice after a trial make-up and hair session. For the tea ceremony she matched the lotus design on the dress and made it a part of my updo!!! The make-up was just the perfect amount not too much."
We'll be diving into Khushali and Bert's Hindu wedding ceremony, next! Don't miss out!
