We're at the lovely Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson for the breathtaking Indian wedding ceremony Artistic Affairs Inc. planned! With views of the New York City skyline and the Hudson river, and incredible decor from Elegant Affairs Inc., there was something to be dazzled by no matter where you looked! Our gorgeous Indian bride was sporting a sublime hair and makeup look by BridalGal for the occasion, and instead of having a bouquet, she opted for decorating an umbrella with wonderful fresh flowers! Every photo Charmi Pena Photography captured was ethereal and beautiful, so visit the full gallery to see more!
Maharani Shweta on choosing her outfits for the wedding:
"I always knew I wanted a mostly white/gold lengha for my wedding since I know red is just not my color. My goal was to look and feel like myself on my wedding day and that's exactly how I designed the lengha. I was able to get the bridal look by infusing a little red into the dupatta (to make both moms happy) and wearing the most beautiful gold jewelry. I normally wear gold jewelry, so keeping in mind that is what I want to wear on my wedding day is how I bought my jewelry. My reception lengha was actually inspired by a current trend - crop tops! It was flattering on my body and I was so comfortable."
On the most magical moment of the night:
"When my husband surprised me during the reception by serenading me on piano and sang our song - 'All of Me' by John Legend. He doesn't play the piano - he learned only for me!"
On their special first dance songs:
"'All of Me' by John Legend - The lyrics are pure poetry and truly makes us feel in love. We danced the waltz to this song.
Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, 'Love Never Felt So Good ' Because he loves MJ and I love JT and it's an awesome song. We actually did a fun hip hop routine and the hustle to this as part of our first dance."
We'll be back with the amazing reception featuring Shilpa Entertainment next!
