Greetings, dolls! We're in Jersey City today for a splendid Indian wedding affair planned by Premini Events, and we're getting ready to unveil all the spectacular details captured by the brilliantly talented team from Damion Edwards Photography — starting with sangeet highlights! The Indian bride of the hour, Shefali, had the most Princess perfect pre-wedding celebration before wedding the Raja of her dreams, Jacob! With help from Desi wedding decor experts from Elegant Affairs, her sangeet night was overflowing with some of the most stunning style! Her navy and gold pre-wedding outfit was complemented by the night's decorations, which also brought in a pop of pink to keep things Maharani-styled. Raja Jacob was handsome in his matching kurta and vest, and we can't get enough of the blushing bride's mirror embroidery on her dupatta or her gorgeous mehndi design! Our day is going to be packed with even more of Shefali and Jacob's dream wedding details, and before we dive into all of them, make sure to visit the complete gallery for an exclusive look at some more of their sangeet highlights!
Maharani Shefali, on her pre-wedding style:
"For the Sangeet, the traditional look is to use a lot of bright colors. I prefer more neutrals so we decided to incorporate navy blue with a pop of coral to make it match the theme of a colorful event. We also made it unique by renting a white leather tufted bar with gold accents which added a luxurious touch. For the gifts we had a wreath of fresh jasmine flowers that the ladies could place in their hair or wear on their wrists. It made the entire room smell like jasmine, it was lovely! We also had individual gifts which was a colorful small pillow with a thick fashionable bangle, bindi's, and other bracelets. For the food for the Sangeet we wanted traditional foods that our families like to eat. Jake's mother is Mexican so we had a taco stand, which we named after her. We love ice cream so we had someone making fresh kulfi, which is an Indian style ice cream. We had butler pass and individualized stands that were named after our family members for the Sangeet food."
I'll be back later today with wedding day details from Shefali and Jacob's amazing affair! Don't miss out!
