Grab your sunnies and come with me to Cancun for this destination Indian wedding by DreamArt Photography. Maharani Bina and her groom, Amit, picked the experienced Beach Palace Resort to host their long weekend of events, so they could get the beach wedding they always dreamt of, while their guests got to enjoy some R&R. Now that’s a WIN/WIN. Pay special attention to this Maharani's flawless makeup because Platinum Vendor, Dolled Up by Lulu, flew out from California especially for this destination wedding. From the Gatsby Themed welcome party to the Mehndi night with belly dancing show, this was one lively affair! So, dive in and enjoy this gallery!
Behind the scenes with Maharani Bina :
How did you meet your Raja and when did you know he was "the one"?
Amit and I met on match.com, I guess you can say we were a "success story". Amit has an amazing heart, he cares deeply for everyone around him. He is sweet, kind and caring and that's what was important to me.
Do you have a super romantic proposal story or engagement memory?
I was living out in California when Amit proposed to me in beautiful Santa Monica. My most memorable moment was the coordination with my family and friends there. They all showed up during the "flash mob" proposal and we celebrated after at the Sonoma Wine garden with lots of champagne.
Tell us about your wedding style. When you sat down to really figure out how your dream wedding would look, did you start with one central color, a palette of colors, or a theme that served as your inspiration?
Indian weddings tend to be a lot of work due to the number of events especially for the brides parents. Amit and I chose destination as we wanted all our guests to be on vacation at the same time. In addition, most of our close family and friends are scattered across the east and west coast in addition to Amit's family from the UK. Cancun was a perfect destination due to the warm weather and beautiful setting. We both love the ocean and I have always dreamt of a beach wedding.
I choose purple as my central color as it goes beautifully with the turquoise colors of the beaches in Mexico.
What did you enjoy most about the process of planning your dream Indian wedding?
I enjoyed the fact that I got to do everything I wanted with the support of my family. My mom, aunts and sisters were very supportive in helping with the process and letting me choose exactly what I wanted with designs and colors while remaining within our budget.
