Confession: we (may have) squealed with joy the way you’d only expect a bride to, when we learned that the artists behind Pooja & Anand’s regal destination wedding were…*drumrolllll* WEDDINGNAMA! In true WeddingNama spirit, the photos and film made us feel like we were a part of the opulence. Pooja & Anand kickstarted their festivities with a pre-wedding reception in Mumbai, where Popular Decorators jazzed up The NCPA Lawns, Nariman Point. Says Pooja about JOSS Catering, “whether it's their molecular gastronomy inventions or their classic signature dishes, you can trust them blindly with taste, presentation, and quality.” They then jet-setted to Udaipur for what we like to call the epitome of luxurious weddings. The first two days of the event comprised of a Welcome Lunch, Mehendi and Sangeet, and a poolside brunch party, all hosted at the Trident. Going by the relaxed charm Pooja exuded in her pale blue floral Falguni & Shane Peacock, one couldn’t possibly guess that Pooja took the reins on planning. She teamed up with local experts, Tarz Events 'N' Entertainment, for the decor and overall color theme. The ethos of Rajasthan permeated through this segment, where short camel rides were arranged for the guests, and a family-favorite chef treated everyone to local delicacies like Dal Batti Churma. With the festive sound of trumpets and dhol beats, we move to their Mehendi party, where the decor incorporated native elements like latkans and puppets. For the Mehendi and Sangeet, Pooja donned an embroidered fuchsia pink Hardik Mehta ensemble, accessorized with a statement jewelry and a jhoomar; Anand looked dapper in a printed short kurta and patiala set by Govinda Mehta. This is where we’re going to let the masterminds do the rest of the talking through their photos - check out their gallery!
Pack your bags again, because we’re going to take you on an unforgettable journey to Pooja & Anand’s Sangeet and ceremony in the upcoming post! Sneak-peek: each guest received a personalized luggage tag along with an elaborate invite designed in-house.
