We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Maharani Weddings 6th annual Mehndi Contest! We were blown away by the creativity, drive and talent of all the mehndi artists that entered! CONGRATULATIONS to our First place winner, Toko Mehndi. Using inspiration derived from her world travels, Josje Schuiling’s talent is apparent in her modern yet traditional approach to her mehndi designs. Ash was impressed with the unique creativity and presentation of Josje’s work, as well as, the innovate designs that implemented both clarity and neatness. Our Second place winner of a AK Henna Gift Basket worth $125.00, is Canadian artist, Sanaa’s Mehendi! We love Sanaa Merchant’s passion for the craft which is clearly reflected in her artwork. Click here to see her beautiful designs! 

Third place winner of a AK Henna Gift Basket worth $75.00 is Dipal’s Mehendi Art! Alongside her unrefined talent, we were impressed with Dipal’s ability to create her own organic henna paste. You can view more of her amazing work here! 

We know the importance of mehndi artists and their role in Indian weddings and although we had MANY favorites, the decision was ultimately based on talent, creativity and YOUR votes!
