We are so impressed with the talented artistry of Imperial Decor and absolutely loved sharing the memories of Kamaljit and Meet’s grand bash! The ballroom at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center was in for a real treat with the hands of Imperial Decor ensuring that the spacious quarters was bathed in pure luxury. Overflowing bows of bouquets were placed on each table with a sweetheart stage lit up in special LED lighting by DJ Manan Entertainment taking command of the room. The bride donned traditional colors and went for an ultra sassy wedding lengha with a unique twist - the reception outfit was made in Delhi from the same designers that made her mother's outfit back in 1984! Guests danced the night away after eating a delectable Indian meal catered specially by Nawab and the dance floor was never empty thanks to the talented crew of Jay Dabhi Entertainment. After you view the gallery captured by Hugo Juarez Photography who also captured all the live action, head on down below for our chat with bride Kamaljit as she relives her special day.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The first thing we booked was our venue and from there it was a breeze! My father and husband dealt with all the contracts while I met with all the vendors to make sure they were the one! Ashley Loffredo from the Westin in Town Center was amazing! She bent over backwards for us and really made sure everything was organized to our liking. I can't thank her enough, without her I don't think our wedding would have been so perfect!
Imperial Décor did such an awesome job, they took my vision and gave me much more! When I first met Saba Kamran, I was so excited because she understood what I wanted and worked around our budget versus other vendors. I told her that I wanted my décor to be classy and elegant with lots of candles and bling. I got that and more! Saba and her team completely blew me away! Just a small example of them going above and beyond: The company they ordered my flowers from informed Saba that they didn't have enough of the roses that I wanted two days before the reception. Saba found a company in California and had the roses flown out to the venue.
My Makeup artist, Sapna Desai, was awesome! She was just such a sweet person to be around and I felt so comfortable with her. She listened to what I was looking for. Each event had a different look and it was so classy and natural! When I saw myself after getting all dolled up I was in tears! She really amazed me!
Our Dj's rocked the floor both Sangeet and Reception night! Sangeet night we had DJ Manan Entertainment, his company also did all the lighting in the event spaces! Him and his team were so great! For the reception, Our DJ Jay Dabhi and his MC were flown in from New York City. He definitely got our crowd going and kept them all on the dance floor! There wasn't one minute where our guests actually sat down!
To capture our most memorable moments, we had Hugo Juarez and his team who went above and beyond from the day of our proposal to the end of our reception night!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The only advice I have is to plan ahead and try to have everything done a month before the wedding so you can really spend some time with your family! The wedding day goes by really fast so just try to soak it all in!
Same time, say place tomorrow Maharanis!
