Today we are at The Venetian Catering honoring the special union of Maharani Ashvi and Mayank. This Bollywood bride was swimming with elegance in a navy blue lengha that was a stunning designer piece to say the least. When it comes to choosing the hue for your wedding ensemble, there are a variety of choices but this bride knew she wanted to keep her color palette elegant and memorable. She looked absolutely gorgeous and was dazzled up by her beauty squad consisting of Style by Susmita, Henna by Jinal, and mehndibyanuja. So much bridal beauty inspo! It was obvious that each detail of Ashvi and Mayank’s wedding, with decor spearheaded by Wedding Design - Ravi Verma, was meticulously curated. The venue was fit for royalty and filled to the brim with sparkling, luxurious details, such as glimmering chandeliers, twinkling candles, and romantic uplighting. As you peruse through the photos in the full gallery captured by Lightyear Studio, you’ll notice all the fun shenanigans, including fiery sparklers and colorful Bollywood dances. Family and friends dined on delectable cuisine from Moghul Caterers before hitting the dance floor with a perfectly curated playlist by DJ Gaurav LLC. Get lost in all the love, laughter and memories, and scroll below for more behind the scenes deets straight from Ashvi.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We got married at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ and the service was beyond amazing! I wasn't feeling well the day of the wedding and my bridal attendants helped me so much! My hair and makeup artist was Style by Susmita. I cannot praise Susmita enough. She is not only super talented but she is the kindest person you will ever meet. She took such great care of me during all 4 events I had. For decor we use Wedding Design. Ravi Verma helped us create the wedding and reception of our dreams! Our DJ was DJ Gaurav and he had the dance floor packed all night long! Our photographer was Lightyear Studio. They were there to capture our entire weekend as well as our proposal! They were apart of our love story from the start. I used Mehndi by Anuja and she was amazing! I asked her to incorporate little symbols that represented mine and my husbands relationship and she was able to and made it look perfect. For food we used Moghul and people could not stop raving about how amazing the food was!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went to Delhi to do all my shopping. I knew I wanted something different then the typical red lengha so I decided to do gold and ivory with a red dupatta for the bridal pop!
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The entire wedding planning process was awesome. I loved every minute of it and I wish I could go back and redo it!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We are still receiving so many compliments from our guests. Our guests are saying this is by far the best wedding they have been to. The venue is something not too commonly done so for most guests it was their first time their and they were in awe. the guests were always on the edge of their seat with all the surprises we had. We entered with awesome CO2 blasters, followed by our first dance on clouds along with fireworks in the background, then we had a snowfall during our cake cutting which was absolutely magical. Our photographer put together a same day edit which actually included clips of our first dance and our guests were totally taken aback and shocked. We surprised the guest with a Viennese hour which extended our party by one hour and there was literally every type of dessert there that you could imagine. Our guests cannot stop talking about everything we surprised them with.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Definitely the first dance. It was amazing. Dancing on the clouds and ending with fireworks and a dip. It was truly magical.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Just relax and enjoy your day. You spend months and months planning and the day flies by before you even know it so make sure you try to enjoy the moment because you will miss it so much once it's over!
Have a wonderful day Maharanis!
