Happy Friday lovelies! We’re here to provide you all with your daily dose of beautiful Maharani inspo, and we’re excited to share all the magical deets of Manjit and Gurdeep’s Sikh wedding extravaganza. Before we get into all the event details planned to perfection by Raindrops On Roses Event Planners, we join Manjit as she prepares for the most important day of her life. She decided upon a vibrant red lehenga with a scoop neck blouse and heavy embellishments. She looked like the epitome of a classic South Asian bride, and was adorned with the most incredible accessories, including swirling henna and sparkling jewels from head to toe. Topping off her perfect bridal look was her shimmering dupatta. As she secured the rich piece of fabric in place, she was 100% ready for her anticipated walk down the aisle. We simply adore this look! Her handsome beau Gurdeep agreed with us wholeheartedly, and their first look overlooking colorful murals was positively swoon worthy. We love how their bold Indian fashions intermingled in such a visually stunning way with the vibrant street art. Kokoro Photography was right by the couple’s side as they captured all their first look memories. You can peruse all the playful pics in the full gallery. Next, we’ll dive into the beautiful wedding events planned by the talents at Raindrops On Roses Event Planners and decorated by DNM Events. And make sure to scroll below as the bride dishes out the deets on her wedding below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Met on Dil Mil website. Felt a strong emotional connection with each other, after 8 months, knew he was the one, when being ourselves with each other and being able to relate to one another.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We had a wedding planner who helped us out tremendously with coordinating with venues, planning and decorating. We did our shopping in india. I brought my makeup and hair person from Philly to CO, and videographer as well. Everyone involved in the planning of the wedding worked together effectively.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I wanted red for the wedding, as traditional. I always wanted to wear red for my wedding day. For my reception, I wanted to wear mint green, more like a summer color since the wedding was in July.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

Family togetherness, picking what we liked, cake tasting, picking out colors, choosing food. To make sure everything went smoothly, I would say having a wedding planner (due to the large number of guests and events) was very important as well.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Everything was taken care of, no one had to worry. Just how great the wedding and reception was, including the decorations and venues.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

I would say, after the ceremony: me and my hubby looked each other and smiled. Also, at the reception we saw our same day edit video in front of our family and friends, it was very special to us.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

A lot of performances by family and friends that meant a lot to us. My hubby' s brother is no longer with us, everything that was done for us at the wedding and reception was for him. He would have been so proud of what we accomplished with planning. A lot emotions during the wedding, sad and happy moments.

Thank you for sharing Manjit! Ceremony deets coming right up!
