It is time to switch to party mode as we celebrate Rishika and Rohan’s Dallas, TX Indian wedding extravaganza! The couple opted to return to the beautiful Omni Dallas to celebrate their last day of matrimony, and the ballroom was the perfect place to party all night long. The venue is one of Dallas’ most decadent wedding spaces, and when festooned with lavish decor by Decor One, is positively breathtaking. For the grand finale wedding event, Rishika selected a truly stunning white and blush lehenga draped expertly by Elegant Saree Draping. Cosmetality and Glitter Gloss Creations worked their hair and makeup magic to transform this bride into a total Bollywood bombshell. Decor One decorated the venue in oodles of sparkling candles and intricate draping that guests won’t soon forget! Meanwhile, DJ Riz Entertainment had the party raging with their sparkling uplighting and banging musical selections, and the dance floor was packed until the wee hours of the next morning. There are plenty more images by the talents at VEK Photo in the full gallery, so head on over to take a closer look at this fabulous Indian wedding. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through one of our mutual friends. After our first date, I knew I had met the one! He’s the only one that can keep me laughing and keep up with my food adventures!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Rohan had told me we were going on a casual date night but little did I know that he would take me back to where we had our first date. As we “waited” for our dinner reservation, we took a walk down the continental bridge and he had an altar of flowers set up. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee and we celebrated the best day of our lives.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The whole process was a team effort with both of our families. The dads helped us pick our venue, the moms stepped in with decor, and we all worked on the food.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I actually found my reception outfit in Toronto when I went to go visit my grandparents. It was the first time I went to look at bridal outfits and I fell in love with the designer (Gaurav) and his collection at the New Delhi Company by Ctc West. I found my ceremony outfit in Delhi through a family friend’s recommendation. They were able to completely customize the work, fabric, colors, and the dupatta.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The food tastings, hands down.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment I saw Rohan when I was walking down the aisle to the mandap. That’s a memory I will never forget and was the happiest moment of my life!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the process!
Hope you all have a fab Monday!
