Happy Thursday Maharanis! Today, I have a luxurious treat in store full to the brim with luxurious detail, astonishing décor, and wedding planning at its finest by Biji Planner. I am starting to end Summer with a big bang and I promise you won’t be disappointed! This unforgettable weekend started off with a mind-blowing sangeet that some might actually mistake for the grand reception! But, no, Maharani Subreena was just getting started! The harlequin sangeet night was a night to remember, so take out your notepads for inspiration overload! It’s all in the details and no detail was spared by Dream Party Decor who bathed the spacious ballroom in decor that left my jaw dropped. The theme of the night was entertainment bliss with impeccable décor, live music by Band Baja Baraat, and the culture of India seeped into the walls. This was one sangeet that has reigned supreme in luxury Indian weddings! Mere words cannot express how glorious Maharani Subreena and Amar's Indian wedding extravaganza came to be, so head into the gallery for a sumptuousness overload of images captured by the one and only Banga Studios.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were planning to attend a friends wedding in Mexico and two weeks before, Amar suggested we do our e-shoot video on the resort as our videographer Dream Productions was already going to be there. Amar proposed to me in beautiful Cancun, Mexico on a boardwalk on the beach. The sun was shining and we were looking towards the ocean. We were re-filming a scene we had just done, but this time when I turned around Amar was waiting for me on one knee with the ring. I was not expecting that and my eyes filled up with tears! I said YES and we were lucky enough to have the moment captured. Our friends at Dream Productions captured our proposal video and Northern Lights Studios took our pictures.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Not every girl can say that their husband put all their bridal and pre-event outfits together. I was one lucky girl as my husband designed my bridal lengha for me. Amar is the creative mind and designer behind Sahiba Fashions. The only thing I knew is that I wanted the color red, and I left the rest up to him. I had no idea what I was wearing until the outfits came in and I was over the moon with the final product. My husband put a lot of effort into my outfits and I am so grateful for his unconditional love.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Amar and I got to experience the best of both worlds during our wedding, and we would like to thank our family for going on this journey with us and making our dreams come true. We did all of our pre-events and traditional Sikh Gurdwara Ceremony in Brampton. Then we flew with our amazing family and friends to Cancun, Mexico to enjoy a wedding on the beach and party the night away for our reception.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
I would recommend hiring a day-of wedding coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly and it allows the bride/groom and their families to enjoy the day stress-free. We put so much time and money into planning our weddings, the last thing we want is everything to be disorganized or have our families running around the day of the wedding. Our friends at Biji Planners, went above and beyond to make sure everything was organized and on time for our wedding here in Toronto. I was not once stressed and we had the dream wedding we always wanted. Our friends at Desta Wed took care of day-of coordination for our destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico.
Believe me when I say we will be sparing no detail with the wedding and reception led by Empire Entertainment coming right up! See you in a twinkle.
