Dear Maharanis, today we honor the wonderful union of Henna and Jigar in our three-part editorial blog! The couple wed on a springtime wedding that I am sure you will love as much as I do! Starting early on their wedding ceremony day, Maharani Henna cheered with her besties as she was dolled up by Destiny & Light. The beauty squad gave the bride an impeccable Indian princess flair with a traditional jasmine flower bouquet bun that was finished off with a delicate chain bridal tikka! She also was decked in a white embroidered lehenga and her beautiful mehndi patterns were created by Apeksha Patel! Raja Jigar chose a white sherwani he paired with red trousers and a velvet turban and together both look stunning! Amita S. Photography captured the charming “first look” moment between the lovebirds amidst the picturesque grounds of Innisbrook Resort! Check out the fairy dream photo shoot in our complete gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met at a USF VS. FSU tailgate in 2012. We were acquaintances for a while then became friends as we saw each other more and more. Then started dating in 2014.

Jigar proposed to me in a funny way. He had got his family and our friends to make me think I was throwing him a surprise party at a location picked out by his family. So I was under the impression I had to invite my friends that I wanted to be there and then his brother would take care of Jigars side of friends. The day of I was supposed to bring Jigar to the location and our friends and family would be waiting for us there. As we got there in the entrance we bumped into Jigars brother and we started talking, and Jigar said he was going to use the restroom. As I waited there with his brother I thought something was up. Then his brother got a phone call from Jigar that he saw all the friends and family and had already been surprised. So we started walking towards the outdoor beach area. Once I got closer I could see our friends wearing matching clothes and holding up signs saying "will you marry me". I saw Jigar in the middle of a heart and then I saw our parents and photographers. I walked up to Jigar and he asked me to marry him! I said Yes!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had gone shopping to India (Gujarat) with the groom's parents and my mum for 10 days. I knew I wanted all white with a hint of red. I liked the traditional look.

A glorious ceremony is around the corner! Don't forget to stop by.
