Happy Friday dear Maharanis! Before we get into the weekend we want to celebrate the fantastic fusion wedding of Casey and Hiren, brought to our editorial desks by the very skilled Biyani Photography team! These basketball fans got married honoring both of their cultures and as part of the 5 wedding spectacles, all specially planned and produced by the talented Therese Cole from Electric karma, they offered an adorable Pool Mexican-Theme Sangeet! Mandap Creations decorated the colorful "Fiesta" with lovely props and flowers that immersed every guest into the joy of the festivities. The soulmates made their debut as bride and groom to be in style! Maharani Casey donned a bespoke mehndi design by Henna By Sobia and a super soft pink outfit that flawlessly combined with her Raja's elegant suit!! For the next big event, our beautiful bride was all decked in bright colors while the dapper groom, Hiren joined her wearing a beautiful red sherwani in an event full of significance, love and Indian traditions! Take a peek inside the complete gallery for a glimpse of what's coming up next!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Both of us love the Houston Rockets and tweeted about them on Twitter. Because of this mutual interest, we eventually started to communicate through Twitter. One day we were both at the same basketball game and decided to meet up in person. I hate to sound cliche but immediately I knew there was something special about him! That weekend we met at a local park and ended up talking for over 4 hours!! We shared stories of our lives and families. And several years later he actually started working for the Houston Rockets, so everything came full circle!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Hiren told me to pack a bag for an overnight stay somewhere. I kind of had a feeling something was going on but wasn't too sure. We ate a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant and then he drove us to a new hotel that I had been wanting to stay at since it had opened! I was so excited when we pulled up. When we got to our room, the view was amazing! You could see our home in the distance, the place we met, and the place where we had our first date!!! (little did I know that Hiren had been going to the hotel all week looking at all of the rooms to find the perfect view!!). When I turned around from looking at the view, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him... I immediately began crying really hard so I can't remember exactly what he said!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The wedding planning was stressful at first because I am a white Christian/American and Hiren is Hindu and born in India. We wanted to make sure that both of our cultures were represented and we were a little nervous on how to make all of that flow together. Our wedding planner Therese Cole (Electric Karma) was AMAZING!!!! She helped us so much to make sure our worries were put to rest. Dhanvi and her team with iLumeArtistry took care of the hair and makeup. We had two ceremonies (one Hindu wedding and one Christian wedding) which both required very different looks but she pulled it off flawlessly!!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For my bridal lengha, me, my parents, Hiren, and his parents all traveled to India. It was pretty overwhelming because there were sooo many options and designs to choose from. I found a beautiful one to have made for me. I definitely wanted to have a red traditional lengha.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Getting to spend time with Hiren and our families!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
All of the events! We had 5 events total and each one was completely different. For my family and friends, hardly any of them knew what to expect for an Indian wedding and they were blown away!!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
For the Christian wedding ceremony, after my dad walked me down the aisle, I read a letter that I had written for him to the entire crowd. I was crying, my dad was crying, and almost everyone in the room was crying!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don't give up or give in! If you have an idea in mind, make sure to go for it! You will regret it if you don't.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
For my bridal henna, I made sure to have the Houston Rockets logo incorporated as well as the Houston Astros logo, those are our favorite sports teams. Our cake was wonderful because one layer mimicked the pattern of my lengha and one of the layers mimicked the pattern of my white wedding dress!

Join me later today to enjoy together a timeless Hindu ceremony!
