We have reached the final event of the upscale Indian wedding of Radhika and Harsh! Aria Cinema Films shared with us the amazing images of their glam bash at the fantastic Suburban Collection and created a beautiful wedding album of the celebration which included all the imagery you are about to see! A memorable first dance lit up with fireworks opened the dance floor for the amazing dance entertainment program performed by family and friends which was enlivened with the music of the sought-after Singh Innovations. The sweet part of the night was provided by Cakes by Stephanie with a special three-tier. Krishna Catering and Restaurant's dinner delivered their best flavors to all guests who enjoyed the fantastic feast in the most wonderful table set up and decor! Marigold Wedding Planners translated the couple's vision for their last wedding night into a pure visual feast, decorating each table with big pink floral hues and creating a sophisticated stage for the new Mr. and Mrs. Radhika's ravishing floral lehenga was perfectly finished off with  a romantic side loose hairstyle from Lulu Beauty Lounge that definitely made her the queen of the night while her hubby Harsh looked equally handsome in a black tuxedo that made him stole the limelight too! See the fabulous celebrations in our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Harsh had seen me at an arangetram years ago but I didn't officially meet him until 2012 where my cousin convinced him to come out at a club because I was going to be here. I had no idea until he got there. We shared a dance (apparently to Drake's Take Care); him and I have a slightly different recollection of this night. He added me on Facebook the next day but we never spoke or saw each other for the next couple years. In Jan 2014, another one of my cousins who went to college with him came into town and connected with him at a party. I thought my cousin may have said something too brotherly to him after finding out that Harsh knew me, and so I messaged him on Facebook to apologize on behalf of my cousin. Harsh said nothing happened and he instantly asked for my number and to go on a date with me. Our first date was the day after my birthday where he surprised me with all the Lord of the Rings DVD in Blue Ray. It's been a rollercoaster since then but the rest is history!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Harsh and I had decided to get married after dating each other since 2014. We officially met each other's family in April so we all could get to know each other, however, a surprise proposal was still coming. Harsh was really into designing the ring himself. I didn't want to see the ring because I wanted what he put his heart into to be the ring I wore for the rest of my life. He spent months researching and designing the ring he wanted to give me and it turned out to be perfect! He finally proposed in Chicago, our favorite city that we now live in, on a random weekend in July. Harsh had taken me out to dinner to RPM Italian and then later proposed on one of the Chicago bridges downtown. He had one of his friends capture the moment which means a lot to have now.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We both are from Michigan and had decided to marry there since all our friends/family were mainly there. Harsh and I had already moved to Chicago so it was difficult planning all the details from so afar and making the frequent trips back home. Harsh had just started MBA school and a new job, and I also had just started a new job. Luckily, we had a good support system at home that took on most of the planning and made our lives much easier. The decor was one of my favorite parts! I wanted the decor to match all our (couple's) outfits by complimenting them. I didn't want the decor be so overwhelming that the couple gets lost in it. Tina did a great job in making it happen! Our hair/makeup artist is great, and was able to make my dream of more traditional hair styles happen so effortlessly!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always dreamt of shopping for my wedding outfits with my mom and sister in India. We went to a couple places and I tried on several bridal lenghas but couldn't find anything unique. I felt I was out of options so decided to pick the best one of the variety I was shown. I decided to try one more shop and found the one instantly. It was unique and reminded me of Sabyasachi style bridal gowns in the traditional red/white style I was going for. Simple, elegant and unique. All my family who came with me also instantly knew it was the one! I still dream of being able to wear that outfit again someday!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was shopping for my dream wedding outfits/jewelry in India and then trying to match decor at each event based on the couple's outfits. Fashion and decor are 2 of my favorite things and it was so fun doing it all together!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Harsh and I were so caught up in the wedding events but afterwards, many of our guests came to us and our family raving about the decor, food, and the organization of the event. Months later, people have forgotten the little details, but they haven't forgotten the food and how smoothly everything went. Our guests can get as exhausted as us and we wanted to make sure they were going to be comfortable and satisfied.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
One of my favorite moments is when the doors opened to the wedding hall and I heard one of my favorite songs played. It was a moment I will never forget because I got to see all my closest family/friends all in one room with such a spectrum of emotions on the biggest day of my life. Emotions that only come out in moments like these. Harsh and I decided to keep it traditional and see each other for the first time at the mandap, so it was a big deal because he hadn't seen me as a bride yet until the shawl was let down between us!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
My sister and I are dancers and she had always dreamt of creating a special and unique entertainment program for me when I get married someday. My sister and brother-in-law/sister-in-law secretly planned an amazing entertainment program that was performed at the reception. Both our families had involved our closest friends/family/parents to engage in the variety of performances. Harsh had even had a surprise performance. It was all so perfect & amazing! I can barely remember who was all in it because I was in so awe.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
One of my aunt's told me, before all the ceremonies started, that I should take moments throughout all the wedding festivities to stop, stare, and breathe in the moment with all your family and friends all in one room together celebrating you and the groom! It's easy to get caught up on the details in the moment that you spent months organizing, but the day of, just forget that all and breathe in the moment!

I hope you had fun with today's reading! See you on Tuesday.
