Hi there, darlings! We continue our journey through Arpen & Neil's wedding celebration with a fantastic outdoor photoshoot carried out by the talented team of Andras Schram Photography. This photoshoot follows the line of elegance, style, and fashion that we already saw on the Sikh Wedding ceremony. As soon as we took a glance at the shots below, we couldn't help but think that the portraits look like taken out from the cover of a fashion magazine. The presence that Arpen & Neil have in front of the cameras is fantastic! They completely nailed a fashionable look while embracing a traditional style, and we love the final result! Our gorgeous Maharani looked like a princess on her beautiful lengha embellished with golden details from Rimple & Harpreet's collection. This ravishing look was taken to the next level thanks to the discreet and elegant makeup and hairstyle created by Book Glow Beauty and HairbyRhea, respectively. Although this look was already breathtaking on its own, a princess' look is not complete without an excellent selection of jewelry! The dazzling variety of golden jewels with green and red accents showcased in this photo session is fantastic, and this is just a small sample to what Jagdish Jewellers has to offer. Neil looked handsome as well on his champagne Sherwani suit complemented with a dark ruby turban! He looked elegant and imposing, completely embracing his inner Raja! Without any question, this is a dreamy and fashionable photo session that you are going to love! If you want to take a closer look at the most memorable shots of this day, visit our gallery for more. You are going to enjoy every bit of it!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Neil and I met when I was in my final year of dental school and while he was completing his surgical residency program; our connection was instantaneous. We had seen each other a few times at the hospital, decided to grab coffee - and the rest is history! I knew he was the one after I learned how sweet, ambitious, and funny he is.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Neil surprised me with the proposal over a romantic dinner overlooking the Chicago skyline at The Signature Room at the 95th. I had no idea it was coming, and he had the waitress capture pictures of the entire thing; we celebrated afterwards with champagne & dessert - it was perfect.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I kept organized by creating checklists; we were engaged for a year and a half before the wedding, so I knew what I needed to have booked at 12, 6, 3 months out. Pre-planning all of that helped me stay stress-free and allowed us to enjoy and make the most of the wedding events. Our vendors were also amazing - from the photographer, videographer, wedding decor & coordination, hair & makeup - our teams were so fabulous. I would definitely recommend them for future couples.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I honestly thought I was going to wear red; however, when I tried on that Rimple & Harpreet outfit, I knew it was the one. The intricacy of the textiles inspired by ancient India were stunning; and I loved that it was traditional, yet unique. Padmaavat is one of my favourite Indian films, especially because of the beautiful pieces that Rimple & Harpreet designed - I definitely had them in mind when I traveled to India.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think they enjoyed the outdoor ceremony; the setting was stunning. Honestly, we were very happy with the venue that we chose - it had a very intimate feel, which is exactly what we wanted for our ceremony.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The most memorable moment for me was when my parents walked me down the aisle and that first look with Neil; it was very special.
Don't go too far if you don't want to miss the upcoming wedding reception.
